People often mistake CCN for a contractor association. Sure, we work with a huge variety of contractors all over the country and we’re invested in their education, professionalism, and success.
We associate with contractors. We work hard for contractors. We’ve worked hard to build a network of contractors who support one another, share wisdom with one another, and sometimes even challenge each other.
But we’re not a contractor association. We’re much more than that.
The Myth of Contractor Associations
Contractors often have an incorrect notion about what contractor associations actually are. They imagine that contractor associations help contractor businesses grow. They imagine that associations provide continuing education, foster networking, and help their members share ideas.
The fact is, that’s not what contractor associations do. That’s what CCN does.
Contractor associations are contractor advocate groups.
They often:
- Advocate for contractors with all three branches of the government: legislative, executive, and judicial.
- Provide a voice for contractors within the news media.
- Offer legal help and advice.
- Provide member directories, and offer some member-exclusive perks.
Joining a contractor association comes with benefits, but it does not come with the same benefits of joining CCN.
It’s All About Education
Some contractor associations do offer education through member-exclusive published documents, but it’s usually an afterthought. At CCN, education is our first order of business.
Simply put, we teach contractor executives how to run a more profitable business. It’s what you’re really looking for anyway, right?
What CCN does:
- Teach marketing best practices.
- Shares real processes that contractors can incorporate into their day-to-day lives.
- Offers valuable training resources.
- Provides advice from real, successful contractors who have built their businesses from the ground up.
We go further than that, too. We teach the CCN sales technique, which is very specific. Some contractor businesses are reluctant to adopt it at first, but once they see it in action and see its real value, they never look at sales the same way again.
Focus on the ROI
Now that you have a better understanding of the differences between what CCN is and what a contractor association is, there’s one more difference we need to mention — the price.
The initial membership cost for most contractor associations is less expensive than a CCN membership. (For obvious reasons too!) CCN, again, offers what associations con’t. True return on investment.
CCN provides real ROI for contractors. Our training, resources, and education provide actionable solutions and real value. We connect our members with other contractors so they can share ideas and learn from one another’s mistakes and triumphs. Not only does CCN provide education, but we provide an actual network of contractors.
You could say that even though CCN membership costs more, it’s actually less expensive!
In the coming months, you can look forward to some of our Contractor Spotlights. We’ll be interviewing current CCN members, who will share the stories behind their businesses. They’ll also tell you how CCN has irrefutably helped them grow a more profitable business.
We’re much more than a contractor association. So if you’d like to learn more, be sure to get in touch with one of our Executive Business Coaches for a free coaching call.
